Progress

Since arriving in DC at the end of August I have learned many things. I have no issues navigating the cities metro and have a better understanding of where major geographic locations are. The greatest amount of progress has been made at work. After 5 months I am now starting to create seminars with the assistance of my supervisor. While creating one this past week I realized just how far I have come. Finding information in various files on the computer and speaking with group leaders is no longer the daunting task it used to be. These activities are now part of my daily routine and provide me with the basic skills that are so essential to my work. In addition to creating my first seminar I am also preparing to begin facilitating the opening portion of a seminar. I'm still nervous about how I will perform my first time but am confident I will do OK thanks to the support from my colleagues. I'm also grateful for the continued support of my family, friends and other Young Adult Missionaries.
